Integrated graphics

So the question is: Would it be a waste to get a cpu with integrated graphics if Im getting a video card or do they stack somehow?

Pretty much all of the Intel ones have it integrated. If you're looking at an apu build, please don't.

Intel, yes. Lest say an I5 6600 and a Radeon R9 380 2gb D5

There is no option to get a 6600 without integrated graphics

That being said you wouldn't want to/can't combine them, but you can use them concurrently for additional displays in 2d mode.

Yeah I know I was asking if I should get another model or sth. By aditional displays you mean a second monitor? Also are the integrated graphics enough for gaming?

Yep, like on the desktop.

Not really . Especially if you are considering a 380 (get the higher vram model if possible)
