Windows 8.1 to Buy Advice

I am looking for a copy of WIN 8.1 Pro to buy-the disc, retail, not OEM. Does anyone know of a reputable Internet software company?

I did buy a copy of WIN 8.1 through an Amazon retailer. When I went to install, it wouldn't install. The retailer is giving me a free copy to replace the faulty one. He also sent me a free copy of WIN 7 by mistake. I am impressed with such Internet politeness.

Thanks for the comment. I have some money, not a lot. I would like to learn to better understand the O/S's to make do with what I have instead of constantly ordering new systems. This goes for hardware as well.

I think he means you seem to reinstall Windows almost every other day. The best way to keep Windows running well is to keep it updated and also try not to run any dodgy/weird/unnecessary programs on your system. After you've installed Windows, what programs are you installing on your computer afterwards?

You had opportunity to acquire, install, and learn Windows 10..FOR FREE! and you decided it was too hard, too buggy, too whatever..never really explaining to anyone what the real issues were, then you decide the best course of action is to revert to 8.1, which you have to pay for - and now you are already having issues with 8.1 and can't open IE.. I mean, I' want to help you and so do others, but man...give us something to work with!
