Hi,

I recently purchased the above mentioned VC and installed it onto my MSI MS-7693 MB. When I turn the power on nothing happens. The VC fans turn on but the screen is blank, I see the rest of the system is getting power I think but my keyboard lights stay off? My PSU is an Antec True power 650w. My old card was an Sapphire 6870 HD and it used 2-6pin connectors as the R7 370 uses only 1-6 pin connector, could that be the issue? When I reinstalled my 6870 everything works fine. Also, I did a catalyst uninstall and installed the R7 but that did not help.

MSI MS-7693
AMD Phenom II X4
Win7 64bit
SDD
8GB RAM

Seems like a DOA card to me.

That was my first inkling as well. Great.. Canada computers chargers 10% restock fee so pretty much I lose 21 bucks for something that is defective. Just out of curiosity, it would not have anything to do with using only of the 6pin pci-e power connectors would it?

The R7 370 is a less power hungry card then the 6870. Definitely sounds like a bad card.

So since the VC fan power up and spin doesn't really matter because the VC has another issue..In other words, VC can still power the fans and not work, correct? Sorry for the noob question.

Do you have a motherboard speaker attached to the system? Do you hear any beeps? Back in the day I knew a system that wouldn't boot up due to too much video ram. This could be the case here. To verify if the card is good or bad, you would have to try it in another system.

Restock fee shouldn't apply for a defective return. Not liking the card would be more of a restock return situation.

I don't hear any beeps going off and unfortunately I don't have another system to test it on.

have you dealt with Canada computers in the past?

Don't deal with Canada Computers, they are shady.

They got caught by reddit users doing a pre-order on the new GTX1080 at the USD price and not charging GST/PST

One of these vendors is recommended:

NEWEGG Canada

MemoryExpress

NCIX

Way better vendors for us, what province are you in?
