Swapping Laptop Drive

Don't need to allocate anything. Just boot to the install, follow prompts, setup 1 or 2 partitions depending on if you want your data separated from OS which most people do. Install windows. Install drivers.

Success! I have a clean Windows 10 install on the new SSD. Been installing various drivers and programs I need. Compared to when it had the dying HDD in it, it's like a brand new lappy now!

Thanks for all the help mates, much appreciated.

I still need an SSD in my lappy. The 5400RPM drive in there is slightly above the tier of steamy garbage sitting in the August sun.

But... $$$$

Ikr... I'm on the same boat. Going back to school in September and I need to grab a SSD and a newer wifi/bluetooth module for my laptop.

I probably can make do with a 240gb Intel 540s though. :p
