Is it possible to put new thermal paste on a video card? I have a Sapphire Radeon 6950 and it looks like this:

It's fan lately has been spinning at 100% during gaming, even lighter games like Need for Speed and TF2, and when logging my temperatures, just in 5 minutes of gaming my temp seems to jump from my average 50C idle to 85-90C really rapidly.

Is it possible to take apart a Sapphire card and put new thermal paste on it? I have half a tube of Zalman's thermal grease in my desk right now.

It is, and it's quite easy too.
Simply remove the screws on the back of the graphic card, and the heat sink can be taken off.
Remove all the old paste with some rubbing alcohol, and apply the amount of thermal paste equal to the size of an uncooked rice.

Thanks! I'll do that tonight then. Plus it gives me a chance to dust everything too. :D

I'd just be careful if it has any sort of VRM pad or DRAM pads on it. It looks like you don't have the reference cooler at least.
