Finding my passwords automatically

Before I got this new computer my old one when attempting to upload something in a website, I would put my user name and it automatically loaded my password (albeit in dots). It even recognized my user name by just putting one letter in.

This does not happen on this new computer, so every time I have to type my username and password below it.

Is there something on this lap top that would save my password and enter it when my user name is entered.

Only if the site has a remember user name/password box or if your web browser supports it, which most do.
