here Is what I have,

GeForce GTX 570
Intel core i7-2600k cpu @ 3.40ghz
16 gb ram

I'm still quite new to pc gaming. can use all the help I can get.
do I need to upgrade anything else? i want to be able to run the newest releases, like battlefield 1, Dishonored 2, titanfall 2, etc. atm I have a low budget, any and all recommendations are greatly appreciated!!

was thinking this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...4137054&cm_re=gtx_1050-_-14-137-054-_-Product

worth it in the long run? or should I save for a 1060 plus?

That card would be a huge step up. With the card you have now you can probably play those games at minimum settings. The crucial thing is the wattage of your current PSU. It needs to be able to handle the new video card. So with that, what is the wattage of your current PSU? Make and model.

If you could save for a 1060 that would be better I guess.

Edit- Definitely save for the 1060. http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GTX-1060-vs-GeForce-GTX-1050

The PSU is fine.

I'm wondering if there might be a bottleneck with running a 1060 on that older CPU. May not, but I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else can chime in and confirm.

Here's the comparison vs a i5 6600k. http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-2600K-vs-Intel-Core-i5-6600K

Looks like you can overclock your CPU to 5 GHz! Of course you need to have a good CPU cooler.

200 bucks for a 1060 here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...4487263&cm_re=gtx_1060-_-14-487-263-_-Product

Wait till cyber Monday or black Friday and it could go cheaper.

Are you in the U.S.?

Doubt there would be a bottle neck with that cpu as that was one of the top ones of that slot.

It was, but the 1060 is more recent. Wouldn't it be fair to say that could be an issue? I have my doubts, but it's an interesting question. I guess even if it was, that puppy can get OCed to 5GHz. With the right settings and fine tuning of course.

I'd love to have a 5GHz OC myself just for single thread for FS2004.

sweet okay so as of right now, I will just focus on getting the 1060 video card. oh and what is the best way to test for bottleneck when I get it?
