ASUS RT-AC68U and then probably an access point plugged in somewhere to extend wireless network.

No more than $200. I think Voyagerfan was also talking about a repeater if needed.
Just don't want to spend anymore than i need to. Something from BestBuy would be great if they have it.

You can give it a shot, it's a decent router, voyager is also a professional network engineer so knows what he's talking about.

4500 sq ft can be challenging if you have a lot of vertical space to cover (ie, three floors or similar). Most antennas have a much farther horizonal plane of coverage than vertical. You may need an additional access point on another floor in that case, also depends on what the house is built out of.

Just the router voyagerfan mentioned. that might work fine.
Curious why not the wireless repeater/extender if needed. confused about it if needed.
Or is it slower.
Thanks Geoff

Because you're saying repeater when. I'm saying access point. They are two completely different devices.

An access point takes the original network signal and transmits the same signal at full strength.

With a repeater it takes your wireless signal and retransmit it but it is a weaker network connection.

I was asking you what you thought of power line. Keep your ego under control mate, you're pathetic.

You said:

"Powerline voy?"

If you really meant what you just stated, you should have asked a proper question. Such as "Voyager, what do you think about him using powerline adapters instead?"

Also, powerline adapters are a poor choice.
