first time custom build pc problems

This is the first time I'm trying to make a build on my own. So I made this build https://pcpartpicker.com/user/NewbornALIEN/saved/#view=87hfrH
And everything went fine untill after I bought windows and installed it and played around on it for like 5 mins. Already I felt like it was lagging more and more the longer I was doing things on it an eventually it shut itself off for no reason....
I have no clue what the problem is here and what I should do now. Can anyone please help?

That would be hilarious. XD

Btw, are you even able to download the software before it happens again? You might be able to check the temps in the bios.

Yes i did remove the protective cover from the thermal paste but I had to reinstall the thing on the cpu from the water cooler and the thermal paste got a bit messed up. mayby I have to buy some thermal paste and apply it to make it better? Yeah I could download the software before it happens again. But I'm scared that I will damage the pc and or even the cpu which costed me 350 bucks. Ill try it in a sec though

Go buy a tube of thermal Paste and some rubbing alcohol. Clean the old paste off with q tips dabbed in the alcohol let it dry then apply a dot of new paste in the middle of the cpu. Dot should be the size of a small green pea. Make sure you install the cooler properly. If problems persist u may have a defective pump

just got home from work. Anyway it doesn't do anything special now at second boot it feels like the lag is gone and doesn't restart so it's fixed I guess. :S will update if anything happens.
btw what does "distance to TJ max mean"?

Can you please use Coretemp instead of realtemp? (no disrespect to the guy who suggested realtemp) We need to see temps under full load. Download Prime 95 and run a blend test then post the temps after five minutes of that running.

Distance to TJ max is the distance to the maximum CPU temperature. Once the chip reaches the maximum temperature it will throttle (reduce power and clock speed) to prevent itself from basically turning into a barbecue. You don't ever want your chip to get that hot in the first place though. It's really not very good for it.

The TJMAX on that CPU is 100 degrees centigrade which is the temperature water boils at (in otherwords, really freakin' hot).

Just a side note- the Corsair H60 really shouldn't even exist in my opinion. It is a terrible cooler that does not dissipate a lot of heat. The lowest-end Corsair liquid cooler that's worth anything performance wise IMO is the H80 class of coolers (there have been many revisions). These have a much much thicker radiator than your H60.

Still, your idle temperatures seem quite decent so I have a hard time thinking a poor cooler mount of failed pump is your problem. Still, let's pin that CPU at 100% load for 5 minutes and take the temp with coretemp to rule out overheating as an issue. We can look at other causes after that.
