Epson Expression or Workforce

Looking at a new printer, all-in-one type unit, and we like the idea of user serviceable ink bottles, instead of the traditional cartridges.

Has any used either the Expression line or Workforce line from Epson that utilize their Supertank(EcoTank) system?

Any other brands with this type of ink system yo can recommend?

The Expression ET‑2550 might be your best bet then since it says it's a photo printer.

Yeah thats the Expression line unit I was considering. Its cheaper than the 2500 and I can't tell the difference anyhow.

The Workforce line might be too much for home usage and several hundie more here.

Before getting the Canon printer I have now I had an Epson workforce printer. Lasted our family about 8 years of regular use before it got fried by a power surge. They're pretty good printers!

I did look at one of those printers before I bought my latest brother printer, every time I have to buy a replacement cartridge and see the ridiculous price, I wonder if I would have been better off buying one of those printers where you can refill the ink from a bottle, the problem is a lot of my printers don't seem to last all that long

I was just thinking that.. seems like every other thread something was taken out by a power surge..,.o_O
In the area I live in thunderstorms are regularly occurring and they almost always surge our power. And for being built in 1992 my houses wiring sucks anyway
