Which program is the most accurate?

I usually have 2 programs that are always running, speedfan and OpenHardwareMonitor.

I use speedfan to control the speed of my cpu fan--It never goes above 30% otherwise.
I use OpenHardwareMonitor to monitor the temperatures.

Speedfan and OpenHardwareMonitor always give different temperatures, with speedfans being significantly cooler, so I go by what the other one says instead.
Today, I decided to get another similar program and compare it to OpenHardwareMonitor to see if there was a difference. The other program I downloaded is CPUID HWMonitor. Again, there is a difference, this time the new programs temps are even higher.

I would go into BIOS to settle this, but I can't.... No prompt comes up, and I've pressed every button/ button combination I've ever heard of and haven't been able to open it.

Also, I put in a new fan in my computer yesterday, in hopes of being able to keep the cpu cooler and not have its fans up so high (Even at 70% it still gets to the max temp of 68°C (Going by OpenHardwareMonitor)). The fan I put in doesn't help any at all, really, but it doesn't go up very high by itself. I also can't control it with any of the programs I have. The slot it is plugged into on my mobo is labeled PCI fan. Any way to control that?

The cpu I'm using, by the way is the Intel Xeon w3550.

Speedfan is junk for reading temps. What computer do you have? The post screen should tell you what to press to get into the bios.

Yeah, I figured speedfan was wrong. My computer is just a mush of like... 4 different other computers I've had. And, for some strange reason there isn't. Nothing pops up there. The only message I get when starting my computer is "press ctrl+s to configure mac adress" or something similar. Nothing about bios.

I've tried f1, f2, f10, f11, f12, del, and ctrl + all of those. Haven't been able to get into it :/

If you're using a USB keyboard sometimes you need to go into the BIOS with a PS2 keyboard and enable USB Keyboard on boot.

What motherboard do you have?

I don't know the name. I did just manage to get into BIOS though (it apparently didn't feel like working until I complained about it online)... I pressed all possible combinations I knew of all at the same time (which I tried before without success) and it worked. It doesn't even show the temperatures. I did, however, set the fan profile from normal to high, so maybe that will help.

You also need to disable network boot, seems its set in your boot order possibly.
