Issue with front panel USB

Anything I plug into the front panel ports disconnects randomly almost like there's a short somewhere. My phone is actually bricked because the USB port "dropped" the connection during an iOS update. Other times when I plug something in I get "This device will perform faster if plugged into a high-speed USB port." The rear mobo ports work fine and I have a hub on it so losing 2 front panel ports isn't a huge problem but I want to know what was happening.

Looking closely I don't see any bent pins inside the port and the USB headers on the mobo look fine. Could something internally be wrong with the case cable?

Is the header connected properly to your MOBO? That's the most logical explanation.
The header pins are all there, nothing looks bent or loose.

NEW PC!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. Could be a wiring issue. USB ports are finicky, even if they loose a little.
I'd have a new PC if I had enough money, but I have to put up with other expenses for now (driver's ed, first car, insurance, etc).

Good lord I've not seen that message for at least 10 years! You still have a case with USB 1.0??

No, its a HAF 912, all ports are 2.0 or 3.0 but for some reason my MOBO thinks it's 1.0

Despite what I've said in the past....I bet there is nothing even wrong with your rig, I think its just in need of skilled user to reformat, clean and wire for you.

I regularly blow the dust out of it, I got out the bulk pack of zip-ties and did cable management, and I re-installed windows in 2015
