hi

how can i add multiple case fan into my system ??

MY system config:-
I7 6800K
RAM DDR4 16gb single...
X99a MSI motherboard
cpu fan CM Hyper 212x
CM 912half
normal graphic card ( but add atleast 1080p GC in future)

I bought 3 fan ... 2 Cooler master sickle flow x 120mm and 1 arctic 140mm pwm fan

I want to add one arctic 140mm pwm on my case (side ) and 2 cooler master 120mm sicklflow X fan (as an exhaust) on top of the case .. already one back fan and cooler master hyper 212x in my system.

So, how can I install this fan on my system guys ?? Is this right case fan for my system according to my rigg ? I want to add arctic fan on motherboard and CM sickle flow x fan as a exhaust fan on top and want to attach with psu (I dnt want to add extra load on my mother board.) .. so will be good idea??

sorry no knowledge about computer hardware. dnt know i m thinking right or wrong. So plz advise me how can I install multiple case fan n where should i install on mobo or with psu. and sickle fan can be use as exhaust fan for top.

how many case fan should we install in system??

Thanks

There should be a few 4 pin fan headers on your board that you would connect them to.

That MOBO should have plenty of headers. Just plug them in to fan headers. If you need more than you have headers (god knows why) get cable splitters.

You don't need to mount anything directly to the mobo aside from the CPU cooler.

The PSU already has its own fan.

sorry did't getting this line....
The CPU cooler is a fan(usually) with a heatsink that mounts on the motherboard to cool the CPU. It should be the only device mounted on the motherboard. The other fans are mounted on the cases(box components are housed in) interior via fan mounts.

Ohh thanks now I got it.. very well explained really appreciated...
actually I was asking if I attach multiple fan with mobo (fan I mount on case but wire plugin in mobo ) so my mobo got extra pressure (load) or not?
sorry i dnt know so much technical word....

That MB has a total of 5 fan connectors. 2 cpu 4 pin. 3 system 4 pin. Put the 140 in the side and plug it to a system fan and put the 2 - 120's in the top like you want and plug them into the other system fan headers, in less you have fans in the front of the case then you have to get some splitters.

I have built to computers for 2 friend's of mine using the CM Haf 912. The fans that I used were, 200mm in front (intake) 200mm in Top (exhaust) 120mm back (exhaust). And naturally the cpu heatsink and fan 120mm.

Looking at the specs, that 140mm needs to go on the sidepanel as an exhaust. Put one of the 120mm fans in the front as an intake and and the other one in the rear as an exhuast.

Pretty much anything works as long as you have some sort of directional airflow (ie, not all exhaust or similar).

Just a reminder, these CM HAF's cases needs to be cleaned quite often. They do pull in the dust.
I have CM HAF XM, mine has 3-200mm fans (1 front (intake) and 2 top (exhaust)), 1-140mm (rear exhaust) and a 120mm on my cpu cooler.
