How long does it take for Google to list an image on Google search?

Hi,

Yesterday, I updated a website with an image that is linked to a name.

Though, when I google the name, the image doesn't come up under google images.

How long before Google indexes the image?

OK. How do I do that?

Anyway to tell Google that when someone enters a certain string into its search field, they should bring up a certain image and URL as a search result?

Thanks. But I don't own the site that contains the photo I want Google to reference.

The site in question is a social media type of site.

You can add a url to the post/page that has the text and image that might work.
