Pc gaming moon question.

Hi guys so I honestly don't know where to put this, move if nessecary.

I'm a pc gaming noob, I only have had one gaming pc, and still have it. Bought it about two years ago.

Here is the issue, it shutdowns randomly after being played for a while! I am at a loss to find out why, and trust me I have tried. I think it may be excessive dust, or something about my upgrading it to Windows 10. (Thats when it started doing this.)

Either way, I've given up on trying to fix it, and am now rather thinking to just get a new pc alltogether.

I spent 700$ dollars on this junk, I'm assuming whatever the problem is, it won't affect the entirity of its parts, so my question is.....

Should I just buy a barebones set and and just swap most parts out from my broken one to the barebones one? I'm assuming it's either the hard drive or cpu that is the issue so I could prolly salvage most other parts and use then to build a pretty solid gaming pc, right?

Please respond asap guys, much appreciated. Should I buy a barebones set and swap out the parts?

have you checked the fans and make sure they are working. (rear fan and cpu fan).
The computer will need to be blown out of covered with dust. Others will be here
with better suggestions but the above will need to be answered.

I only see one fan, it's near the back and working perfectly.

Does that mean you have an all-in-one liquid cooler on your CPU? Because that should have a fan and heatsink on it if not.

I think I noticed something that might matter.

It appears it only auto shuts off when I'm playing games, or at least that really really accelerates the issue.

You might want to consider that the thermal paste might need to be clean off and replaced with new on the heat sink and cpu. Just a thought. A gaming rig usually has more than 1 fan. My HAF XM 922 has (4) case fans and a cpu fan, and the (2) fans on my GPU card.
