Anyone else having trouble using the Goodreads website?

Hello. I have been having a lot of trouble using the Goodreads website lately. When I try to create a new shelf, it says the name is invalid. When I try to rate a book, it says there's an error and to try again later. When I try to uncheck the "feature" checkbox for my "read" shelf, it also gives an error.

I tried submitting this question to both the Goodreads customer service email and by starting a new discussion with the Goodreads community, but in both cases I got a Page Not Found error!

Needless to say, nothing seems to be working, even the outlets through which I might get some help! I hope someone here knows what I can do!

I don't mean to knock your browser of choice, but..... Chrome is crap. I have used it on many occasion mostly for the development tools to aid in a possible CloudFlare issue I had with one of my websites and it's just a flaky browser. At least it was for me. If others use it all day everyday as their personal browser of choice without error, then all the power to them. After all, Isn't pretty much damn near anything that Google creates always in a constant state of Quasi-beta?

I would just stick with Firefox even though that browser is going to crap in one hell of a hurry. But it's a widely accepted browser across the Internet and it doesn't seem to have the bugs like Chrome can have.

My personal browser of choice (and don't laugh) is Pale Moon. It's more of a F Chrome and Firefox browser and it sometimes has a UA issue because of the current UA. If the UA isn't Firefox or Chrome the page may act funny. So to remedy that crap I use an add-on called UAControl which makes it look like I'm using a 64 bit version of Linux with the current version of Firefox. Thus I have no trouble. It's been a great browser and there's no Firefox UI change crap. It's the way I like it and the way I liked Firefox before they started to copy Chrome. Contrary to some Internet propaganda just to make Firefox look better, Pale Moon is updated with the latest security updates and in fact has security updates where there isn't a current need, i.e. in the wild yet. I combine my browser with Sandboxie so nothing touches the machine. Which means cookies and cache as well as HTML5 data is dumped on browser exit. If you're the type to keep passwords and what not embedded in your browser, then this setup may not be for you. It seems gone are the days of just a good solid browser without having to tweak the ever living crap out of it.

I've done so much tweaking already...

What did you specifically tweak? That could be the problem. It seems like JS is messing up. But I'm not sure. It could even be HTML.

This isn't the first time I've had to try something in Firefox when Chrome didn't work properly, but I like Chrome because I have the consistency across all my devices, including my phone. If I have a website open on my PC, I can find it quickly on my phone.

I'm not even sure anymore, but I don't think it had to do with JS. Just a bunch of other little things concerning how it looks and does basic stuff.
