The question mark was more at the question in general. That's the whole point, kind of like asking if a Ferrari is faster than a Honda. SSD's are night and day difference.

It kind of depends what you mean by run faster.

Operations that involve storage are much more responsive. You get exponential improvements when also reading and writing to the same drive at the same time over a hard drive. Crap like Windows will be a lot snappier.

Computationally (CPU, GPU), no difference although some games that stream textures like MMOs will be perceptibly smoother (storage operations)

He gave you a question mark because the difference is enormous.
