Hi all,

I need your help as I am looking for the blue led that I want to get the same led lighting colour as my CPU fan so I will be able to solider it for my 8mm fan. I bought a CPU fan called Deepcool gammaxx 400 that come with blue led. I want to know where I can find the blue led lighting the same colour as my CPU fan somewhere on the internet?

Recently I bought blue led strips on ebay but it is not the same colour as my CPU fan. The led I got is like dark blue with purple colour mixed so it is not the right color I have got.

If you can help me to find me the same colour as my CPU fan that would be great.

Thanks in advance!

It'd be cheaper to just buy another matching fan. You say it's an 80mm, can it fit a 120mm where you have it? 80mm fans aren't really used anymore except in some OEM/prebuilts. If you get a Deep Cool Blue LED fan odds are it's the same LED as the one you have. Might be able to salvage the LED's off one to put on yours if you felt up to it.

You can buy a blue LED strip and have it light up your entire case, I find it better looking than LED fans, or you can do what Darren said.

I'm the opposite, I think light coming off the fans looks better than a strip. Particularly ring fans like I have now. The ones that are just 4 LED's pointed inwards don't do nearly as much.

Thanks for your replied guys as I find it very helpful.

I have found a deepcool 120mm blue led fan that it got the same colour as what I have got on my cpu fan, so I have decided that I am better off to get a bigger fan as I don't have to solider it, it's quiet and it will make my computer case more cooler than 80mm fan but there is a problem. My computer case have only got 80mm slots. I want to install the 120mm fan on the front and the back, I could install the 120mm fan on the front and the back but I will have to use two screws to hold on the fans but I cant put the two other screws as my case slots only support 80mm fans.

Do you know what I need to do?

Zipties can work if you've got holes to loop them through then just thread them thru the screw holes on the fan.

Won't that cause vibrations?

Best solution is to just find yourself an 80mm fan with blue LEDs.

Probably. Never said it was ideal, although I've done it before and didn't notice too much issue.
Suppose if they're done tight enough they'll be OK!

It will work but ideally spend a bit of money and get some proper 80mms. :)

I have just realised that it would be impossible to find the blue led strip to match with my cooler as I have to use RGB strip that will do the job. I want to know how I can adjust the colour for the RGB strip?

What do I need to buy that allow me to adjust the RGB strip to match with my cooler?
