Processor Temperature

My Intel I7-8700k processor constantly runs around 80-90C degrees.
My Cooler is a Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4 and it is set to run on max rpm after the CPU hits 60 degrees.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Can someone please tell me? :/
(Thermaltake N21 versa case, MSI 1060 6gb GPU)
(I only have 1 system fan for heat outtake, Could this be the problem?)

Has it been doing this since you built it? What is the temperature inside the home? My guess is that the thermal paste wasn't applied correctly or the heatsink isn't installed correctly.

My build is about 1.5 months old. Heatsink and paste are applied correctly, (Just reapplied the paste yesterday to see if it helps.)
it's like 32 degrees in my home now.
It's been more or less the same since i built it.
 
A CPU cooler of that caliber should definitely not have temps that high. Those heat sinks are hard as nails to install though, so installing it wrong isn't that hard to do. I don't know much about CPU voltage, but you may wanna check how many volts that CPU is getting. Do you have the i7 overclocked or something?
 
32 degrees is almost 90 degrees F. I keep my apartment about 78 F, which is like 25 C for you. I have the same cpu but have the Cryorig H7 cpu cooler and my temps are at 36-39 C. If that is ambient temp, then that could be part of the problem. That is too hot for decent cooling to happen. You should have at least 1 intake fan to bring in cool air.
 
Even if it was 100oF ambient, he shouldn't be getting that high with a properly installed cooler. Either faulty motherboard/CPU or the cooler is installed wrong (most likely).

Hence why I said part of the problem. I do agree that its probably improperly installed cpu cooler.

My cooler is sitting flush with the cpu (saw it on the thermal paste when i removed and reapplied it.)
And the whole cpu cooling area is covered by the heatsink.But, I'll take your advice and ask a pro to have a look at it.

It's usually a matter of pressure with those, if you don't get everything properly tightened down such as the backplate it can not sit quite right.

Taking it to a shop is probably a good idea.
 
Like john said, 32C ambient is going to have a fair impact on the temperature of the cpu, but that alone I doubt would cause temperatures that high.
There are many possible causes including:
Poor air flow, this could be within the case or around the case.
A manufacturing defect.
Faulty temperature sensors.
A poorly mounted heatsink.

Try to decrease your ambient temperatures and make sure nothing is close or against the case, you don't want anything to hinder the movement of air out or into the case. Then check again that the heatsink is mounted correctly, the thermal paste should have spread evenly over the cpu and the plate on the heatsink. If possible remove the side of the pc and place a fan blowing a slight breeze into the pc and check your temperatures. If your temperatures are still very high then it is possible that you may have faulty temperature sensors or even a cpu with poor thermal contact between the die and its heat spreader. At this point you may just want to do what Darren suggests and take it to a pro to fix.

I'm usually a perfectionist. The BackPlate and everything is tightened.
As tight as they get.. The Dark Rock Pro has a Metal Bar running across the heatsinc. it wont allow you to install it incorrectly.

I'm really greatful for all of you trying to help me. Thank you.
I have a fan pointed at the case while the side is off.
It doesn't really make a difference, that's why I fear having more airflow wouldn't do the trick.
While not running anything but MSI afterburner to see the temperature the CPU sits at 35-45C degrees.
When I open chrome with say 12 windows, it jumps up to 70% and the temperature goes to 70-75 too.
I've tried several CPU temperature programs to see if one is faulty.
(just using 3 pages open now and it's at 35, but still it shouldn't go up to 70-75)
I've re mounted and re pasted the cooler again today and it is mounted well. Though is the cooler's heatsink supposed to be touching the Metal Bracket holding the cpu in place?

The bracket holding the cpu down sits lower then the top of the cpu so the cooler shouldn't be touching it at all. When you closed the bracket did you make sure that it went under the latching post that holds it down and out of the way? See video.

I did make sure, I built the pc with a bit of a pc expert guy. and The brackets little metal handle is tightly latched under the hook.
 
Okay, Now without running 15 pages of chrome it is running at 34-40 degrees.
Even with Far Cry 5 and Hellblade open at the same time it is maximum 50-60 degrees.
So Untill I get a few more system fans, I'll simply not open chrome in 15 tabs.

Well that explains it. Chrome is a pretty heavy browser. I didn't know it could effect the CPU like that, I always thought it was just a RAM eater.

Yesterday I moved the CPU cooler about 3 mm-s down and screwed it again (It was completly over the CPU but not perfectly centered. So i centered it perfectly.)
It was still running at 80-85 degrees...
Now at 2 Pm I opened 12 pages of chrome, loaded all of them and muted the videos. Opened Hellblade: Senua's sacrafice and Far Cry 5 and loaded League Of Legends all at the same time. The CPU went to 84% and it was running at 60C degrees. And now my average is like 40 degrees with the sides of my PC on.
Does anyone understand this? ._. I am getting confused. (But I'm happy now it's running at good temperatures.)
 
With everything running and with only chrome running (Same ambient temperature of about 30C)

Try this, take cover off and run a fan blowing in it. If the temps are better then you have air flow problems.
