WIndows 10 Can I dual boot from dual disks ?

Hi, didn't know which forum to post this in, hopefully this is fine.

I am upgrading my main SSD because I basically ran out of space.
I am currently running Win7/64 and have lots of stuff installed.
I was going to put Win10/64 on the new SSD.

My question is... can I do this and have a choice of which SSD to boot to ?
Basically have it wait for me to choose before finishing the boot-up process. Or anything similar, I guess.

I did set up a laptop once to let me choose between 7 or 10, but that was when 10 was brand new so it's been a while, and that was on a single HDD.

Also, is there any reason I should not do this?

Ok, finally got time to install the new SSD. Installed Win10 on it and then replugged in all the other drives including the Win7 drive.

The computer boots up into Win10 and I can see the Win7 drive in File Explorer (it's my M: drive)... but no option to boot to Win7.
Is there a way to set this up so I will have to choose each time it boots up? or will I need to install EasyBCD ? I'm not familiar with the program though I did register and download it just in case.

I don't want to have to stop and change the boot order every time I boot up.

Actually, I installed the EasyBCD and it seems to do exactly what I want.
Is there anything I should know about this by chance?
I see the EUFI could have been an issue but not for Win10/Win7.

Anyway, I appreciate the recommendation. I like to do things as barebones as possible but this little program seems perfect.

If you would have left the the windows 7 drive plugged in then it would have created the dual boot menu for you most likely. I just linked easybcd in case it didn't.

Thanks John. I just assumed I should unplug the other OS.

The EasyBCD was working fine but all of a sudden one day it started asking me at bootup, via the black screen with white text (like when you are about to boot into safe mode), which one I want to boot to. That's fine, works the same as EasyBCD I guess.

I was curious of the same thing, for some reason my lenovo desktop allows me to setup multiple boots to different os's

Do you have an issue or anything you need help with? This thread is a year and a half old. The OP likely will not respond. Let me know if you need help, but would be easier if you create your own thread.
