Getting new Z170 Motherboard, do I need to do Fresh Windows Install?

You shouldn't have to, since its the same chipset. However, I would uninstall any board specific drivers before changing out the board such as sound, ethernet, usb, ETC.

Awesome good to know, will keep this in mind, thank you for the reply.

Bought a cheap MSI Z170 SLI Plus for $70. Called MSI and has warranty until June 2020. Pretty good deal.

Gonna build it this Friday when I get back home. Hopefully this one doesn't give me any trouble with temperature like the one I have now. Also gonna be buying a GTX 1070ti to go with it. Hoping the for the best.

Appreciate the help.
