This is a dark era for Internet users around the globe and specially for European countries where Article 13 is active now. How do you think it will affect our gaming communities and other communties? The twitch streamers that I follow were absolutely disgusted by the fact that our freedom is being taken away. Almost all the twitch stars that I follow were all sad about it.
Privacy and internet security is at stake.. we had 5,9 and 14 eyes concerns already and then this.

Rules made by an old corrupt generation desperate to control something that they do not understand. Many Governments have tried to control the internet, but as of yet not one has ever succeed in doing so, the internet is always evolving and adapting because its owned by the people and not establishments, policed by the few and used by an overwhelming majority.

They are asking for the impossible to be done, making it clear to see that these laws were passed by desperate people with little to no understanding of how the internet works. The whole article is a joke with no one able to agree on how platforms are expected to identify and remove content, or even on what sort of content would be considered as infringing on copyright. Regional laws made concerning the World Wide Web, an international entity are doomed from the start, internet freedom isn't going away, at worst its just moving.

The reason why things like this even get through in the first place is because of the ignorance of the general public, but if and when they feel the effects of the article for themselves then hopefully they will wake up, and when they do the article 13 and others like it will become more and more unpopular.

There is a massive amount of undesirable content and undesirables on the internet. The, by far, the worse people to take control are govrnments. Having said that if internet service providers and "social media" people had controlled the content, like they were asked to do, then governments wouldn't have had to take control. Bottom line though is that whilst we all think we live in a democracy we do not and one way to control the population is to take control of information highways such as the internet, exactly like China, Russia, North Korea and a few other places do.
