Is it Necessary to Obtain HP Bios Password as Notebook Works Great

About 4 months ago I bought on Ebay for a low price of $335 an HP Windows 10 Notebook, ProBook 6570b, that works great, no problems. I can't however update the Bios without the Bios Password which HP says for Security Reasons they stopped doing a few months ago.

It will cost me $200-$400 to reset the password or find it from a place that does HP repairs. Is this worth doing as the computer works great. So how important is it to get this HP Bios password?

I would have not bought it without knowing the password. You can try searching online for backdoor passwords but I really doubt they will work.

While I'm fairly computer knowledgeable, I didn't know about Bios passwords before. Do you know how likely this is to give my computer a problem in the future?

I wouldn't worry about it, you should be able to force flash the BIOS in some way though if it ever became an issue.

If you haven't already, try the basics like "password" or "admin" or "root". Likely was locked by an IT department in the past though so who knows.

Have you contacted the SELLER?? And ask what to do?
