I deleted a photo on my S5 Samsung phone a year or so ago. How can I get it back?

Anyone, know a recording app for phone which records my phone calls or both phone calls and what's going on around me?

A year ago? Highly unlikely, unless it was saved to the MicroSD card, might be able to get into a computer and recover it with some software like Recuva. Long shot though

Was your phone synced with a cloud based service by chance?
If he deleted on his phone that deletion will be mirrored, and I doubt any potential retention policy would hand on that long. Worth checking though, you're right.

Most recovery software will read phones. If you can attach your phone to a computer and Recuva. It'll probably work depending on how much stuff you add and remove from your phone.

Do you have to pay for recuva? I tried to get the free one, but can't see on my desktop.

I honestly can't remember if the file was saved onto my SD card or the phone.

When I plug phone in it recognises sansung S5 but cant get into the files on my computer

I wish I had a few back. not very long after deleting s4 jpegs they seemed gone without a trace. A year, yes I'll repeat that it depends how active the user is, generally. And method or choice of storing. Do you use voice messenger apps? One of them seems like it quadruples phone storage while taking up 4x less the space the camera's onboard storage uses.

Is there no recovery for Samsung S5 hard drive/ memory or whatever?

Your phone will overwrite "deleted" files after some time.. There's a slim chance it's still on the device depending on how much you utilize your phone, like @Okedokey mentioned.

That second link (for CCleaner) is the proper Recuva download.

If I recover old photos or files, will they be uploaded to the internet or just to my computer and saved to my HDD?

How do I use the app. I clicked on the free one not paid one. I think I installed it, but couldn't find the executable file on desk top (laptop) to start the app but couldnt find it. I clicked on the wizard icon again on desktop. Do I need to plug my phone into phone before installing? Not sur how to use this app
