HP desktop model p6710f, running Windows 7 was getting BSOD.
Microcenter diagnosed it. told me RAM was bad, sold me RAM.
They were wrong. RAM was fine.
meanwhile, since it has four slots, purchased some expansion ram online, installed with no issues
but BSOD continued.
Removed Microcenter RAM, took back to store for refund.
Resarted computer and got this black screen:
Your computer can't come out of hibernation.
Status 0x0000411
Info: An error occured processing the restoration data
File: \hibefil.sys
Any information that was not saved before the computer went into hibernation will be lost.
It said Enter at the bottom.
I probably made a mistake, I just physically shut down the computer, and that is where it is now.
I should mention that at some point I purchased third party physical CD restoration disks for Windows 7, but never used them. The license key sticker is still on the machine.
