Can't find compatible RGB RAM for Z390 AORUS PRO

EDIT I did it backwards. I checked the Memory on the G.Skill website instead of the Gigabyte MoBo website and I found some compatible RAM that has RGB.

Now the question is. I found these 2 models. I honestly don't know much about specific details about cas latency and stuff. What is the best one out these two and why? I assume the higher the number the better?

DDR4-3600MHz CL18-22-22-42 1.35V

DDR4-3600MHz CL16-16-16-36 1.35V

I never use the QVL list and have never had any problems. I would just buy the Gskill.

Agreed, I also never look at the QVL, I think ram compatibility has more to do with the ram than the motherboard in most cases, just keep to quality ram and you should be ok. Regarding RGB I assume you need to make sure they are compatible with the motherboard so you can control them through the manufactures software, but honestly I really don't know as I have never had rgb ram.

I heard of memory not running at the correct speeds when is not on the QVL list.

I've heard of ram not running at full speed when they are on the QVL list.

This one is better as its running faster timings. If you were to relax the timings then you can push for more frequency, which can give you a tiny bit more performance in some workloads, I find gaming likes frequency even at the cost of timings.

I have some cheap 2133mhz ddr4 crucial ram which is running at 3000mhz with respectable timings.

Okay awesome. Thank you.

So you know, the QVL is ones that have actually been tested by the manufacturer and (should) run at the speed advertised. It's not an all inclusive list, more just a guideline.

Yes I understand. Just felt more comfortable with something from the QVL list with RGB but I have found a good matching pair for the Motherboard with RGB.
