Wireless adapter issues Lenovo Flex 14... External Adapter?

Hey, I'm new to this forum so sorry if this is a noob question. Anyways, I bought a Lenovo Flex 14 around June 2019, and ever since I bought it, I've been plagued with connectivity issues. This only happens with my laptop at home and at school, all my other devices are fine. Diagnostics always come back with issues with not having a valid IP address, issues with my default gateway, and inability to detect the network's proxy settings.

I brought this laptop to a tech who said I need to restart my computer a few times so updates can be installed. This worked for a day and it stopped working. On the Lenovo Support site, I ran the scanning diagnostic system. It said nothing was wrong. I then referred to one of their articles (https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht502846) and did everything except method 7 because I can't find the Wireless Network Connection thing under Adapter Settings. Nothing is working.

Anyways, if anyone knows of any miracle fixes, I'm all ears. But I'm at the point where I'm considering getting an external USB adapter. I don't care about speed anymore, I only care about reliability at this point. Is an external wireless adapter going to be a solution to my problem? Any thoughts or opinions? Perhaps product recommendations?

Thanks

Go into device manager, then under network adapters. What exact model does it list for your wireless adapter?

This is a little above me, so forgive me if this is more than you asked, but it says I have a Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC

I just wanted to make sure you don't have an Intel AC wireless adapter and you don't. The Intel AC adapters are notorious for having connectivity issues.

If you right click on that and click on properties and then click on the driver tab, what is the driver date listed? You can try updating to the latest driver to see if that helps. Other then that, you may want to try a usb adapter and see what happens.
