Weird computer problems

Wondering if anyone out there has had this issue. I can't seem to work it out. The computer turns on but no display, this happens randomly and sometimes the PC loads up fine. Occasionally when i'm playing games it's like the buttons on my monitor are pressed and the options appear then the monitor has turned off. I’ve had on occasion the computer totally jar up with an annoying sound then restart. At first I thought it was my monitor as the buttons on the monitor were unresponsive. I’ve tested it with another monitor and i’ve had no display on that one too. MOBO next ? Cheers

Specs
Monitor: ACER xb270Hu
Windows 10 pro 64
Cpu: Intel core i7 6700k 4GHZ
RAM: 16 Gig
MOBO: GIGABYTE Z170X-Gaming 7
PSU: Coolermaster v1000
Graphics card: Nvidia GTX980 TI

Edit: Preformed CPU stress tests, GPU stress tests, Temps are all fine.

Are you using onboard video or a dedicated video card? Do you have a system speaker attached to the motherboard to hear possible bios beeps when its not starting up?

Sorry forgot to mention it's a Nvidia GTX980 TI. When the PC doesn't load up it's like the computer fully loads windows, no display, and no noises from MOBO with onboard speaker. I'm on the PC now so it's working now but when it happens it wont load for a about 5-10 times then occasionally its loads fine.

Have you tried resetting cmos by either the jumper or removing the battery? Sounds like it could also be an issue with the video card dying on you.

Just ran some stress tests on the card did fine. CMOS was last resort but i'll do it next time the problem happens. Thank you.
