Hello everybody!

My uncle is a doctor. He was asking me which Pc or build is the best in terms of managing TONS of sensible data (patients credentials, prescriptions, sick notes ecc..). He needs to change the old pc with a new one. Buget between 800£ - 1000£. It as to run Windows 10, because the software provided by the ministry of health in Italy, runs just in this OS. Can you please give me a list of possible solutions?

Thanks in advance

Paolo

Are you from UK or Italy?

Do the data need back up like RAID 1 or RAID 5?
Or is it going to connect to some government system which would do the back up in cloud?

I would suggest you contact company like Dell or lenovo for small business which provide on site maintenance.

A custom built home PC may not be suitable for this purpose.

That budget is not too liberal, particularly from a doctor. And probably he can write it off as business expense.

You're talking about storage and security. Storage is cheap this day. 8tb is selling for $120. You can have plenty of redundancy for cheap. For security, you make sure you have good anti-virus and firewall. And, unplug the network cable any time you don't need to be in the web.
