What PC do I need?

I have been driving myself around the bend for years with cheap PCs and laptops.....the kind when you open software, it says......O thats what you'd like to do....let me see.....thinking....thinking.....thinking.....napping....napping....lost consciousness......o look, the screen's frozen!!:oops:o_O:mad:
I finally have saved up to buy a decent PC, but as I'm no computer genius, I thought best to ask the experts.
Heres what I need it to do (with ease...as responsive as my phone...fingers crossed)
-Run adobe audition
-Run Premiere pro
-Everyday computing
I'm a musician so will be editing my music videos and songs and I just can't hack the endless waiting of my current laptop.....as Basil Fawlty says: "Please try to understand before one of us dies!!!" Thats me and my laptop at present.
Also want to have a neat design....no cables hanging around so thinking its an imac or all in one?
But as to the specs Im a bit at sea.......I do know that bost the software I mentioned needs at least 16 GB RAM..but would 32 be the ideal....
I'd greatly appropriate your thoughts as this is a big spend for me and I cant afford to mess it up ;)

What's your budget look like?
Would you prefer a laptop instead of an all-in-one/desktop?

I recently got a Lenovo Flex 5 (14") laptop with 16GB RAM and an i5 processor. It ran rendering tasks on DaVinci Resolve 16 like a pro!

In most cases, all-in-one's and desktops will outperform laptops of the same price bracket. Storage space/mobility is something to consider.
