I was searching this forum for best android notepad apps and posts about viruses came up. So Now I’m worried about virus in notepads. What is that all about? Should I stay away from them.

I use Samsung Notes because that came with my phone, but Google Keep or Evernote would be the others I'd consider on Android.

Whats wrong with Microsofts OneNote!
Since that is available in both Windows 10 and android you can easily see or edit all your notes from both you computer and on your phone!

The OneNote app isn't as mobile friendly when compared to the others mentioned here.
That might be your opinion, but in fact it´s not all that true..

What could not be "mobile friendly" with it! I know even elderly parents who use it often.. even on their phones..

so that, i believe, is your own opinion and not a fact... What is hard for some might be supersimple to others...

I absolutely loved OneNote, but I DO NOT like being forced to use the cloud. It has been years since I've used it, but I remember it wasn't free anymore,

I used OneNote before I used office 365, and it was free (about a year or two ago) I think it still is FREE!

I have an older version of office, I think its called Office Starter and I have a lot of OneNote files with some complete inventories with photos that it wiil not allow me to view. I converted a lot of them to Word files but I was in the middle of working on some just before I got locked out. I haven't tried for a long time and it maybe some other proble because it says I don't have permissin to use Excel anymore. I am still using Word only it will not let me save or modify a previous file that I created.
