How to use storage drive as RAM on Windows 11 Pro Version 25H2 Build 26200.7462?

To be honest I understand why you would want to try and use an HDD for virtual memory because ram prices are so high right now. But I believe its in your best interest to go ahead and buy another 8gb set of sticks that match your existing. I have a feeling ram prices are gonna be high for quite some time yet. And trying to use either a usb or an actual SSD for ram will just slow it down some.

Another thought I have is what are you doing on your pc that you would run out ram? Do you have too many programs running at bootup that can be stopped so that you can utilize that? Unless you are gaming or doing something intensive, 8gb of ram should be plenty for most people, especially if you are just websurfing and emailing and stuff like that. What processor do you have?

i deleted my processor name and SSD and HDD specifcations for cybersecurity reasons, i want to play DMC5´s SSSiyan's Collaborative Cheat Trainer mod with as much enemies spawns as possible and to do that the mod developer confirmed me i need at least more than 31 GB RAM and less than 32 GB RAM

my processor name is Intel Core i7 8700, my HDD is a WCC4JJKTLUVN S/N Western Digital WD10EZRZ model name 1 TB HDD storage evice, my SSD is a 9120302D01982 S/N KingSpec P3-256 model name 256 GB SSD storage drive, i give them to you in the case you need that info, just for that reason.

Don't need the S/N for the drives, the model name of the drives is fine - which you've also provided.

As beers has said, page filing already carves a section of your ssd/hdd (usually your boot drive) for temp ram storage when your actual ram capacity is insufficient. Page filing is not as fast as real RAM and in memory intensive applications, performance is noticeably affected. No real other option to gain performance but to install more ram.

i7 8700's getting quite old, especially if you're going to do calculation heavy simulations (i.e. large amounts of AI spawns) and will benefit greatly with modern computing power. Not a great time to get a new machine though with RAM and nand flash prices skyrocketing because of AI datacenter demand tho.
