Solid State Recovery

Freakin murphy's law!!!

Short story: I ejected a micro sd card out of my phone when it was 20% into the formatting process (hope it's not a low level)

Long story: I purchased a 2tb mini portable Seagate ssd like a usb stick to backup by phone as it's wise to have a backup and I pulled my phone out of my pocket to plug it in and noticed it was 20% into formatting my 1tb sd card in my phone....I was freaking out couldn't find the power button as I was shaking but managed to rip the hard case off it while running around trying to find a pin to eject the card.

****Don't know how it started formatting maybe like a pocket dial****

Question: What's the best way to try and recover these files?
I heard you don't try and recover them but first you use special software to copy the card (maybe bit by bit) and do a recovery on they copy?
So many different stories.... don't do this - don't do that - don't use this software - don't use that software......

Any advice would be so greatly appreciated!!!

Use something like Active@ Partition Recovery. Use the trial to see if you can even view anything and if so purchase a license.

Thankyou heaps!!! I'll take a look at that one.

Do you think it's wise to try a couple of different software?
I want to limit the amount of time I have the card plugged in and limit the number of scans too as I don't want the stuff written over.

It would be good for it to at least have the files in order and better if I can retrieve the original file name as there's like 60,000 files and photos on there :O otherwise it's hours and hours OR more like days and days of sifting through photos and grouping them!!

Thanks again :)
