problem in CS

temps about 100F for the videocard.... solutions?

I'm guessing you havent overclocked your video card, because it doesnt look like it from the sig.

When I had artifacts in CSS, I tried uninstalling steam completly (not just CS), and then it worked fine.

BTW, is it just me or is it a bit wasteful to spend thousands of dollars on a PC just to play CS?

i play CS and HL 1.6 and crap alot, but i do play Generals, FEAR, Prey, NFS, and alot of others

back to the topic....i have that same exact problem and i also hav those nvidia drivers installed....i play de_rats and it happens a lot and on scoutzknivez(my main map) i will see it every once in a while so if any1 has a fix please do tell

Crap, I was jsut hagveing the SAME problem with day of defeat and I already forgot how i sovled it. It was about 3 days ago to

Hmmm... Try changing it from OpenGL to D3D or from D3D to Openl GL, D3D at elast for me makes the menu and text all really weird and odd, but in game i cant tell a difference. I dont rememebr if that is what fixed it or not.

Ku-Sama I get the same thing with half life one. Ocasionaly explosion effects etc will get all black and wierd. Try changing it to D3D like Arm Pit said, but for me I get a different problem with D3D, alot of decals disapear, like blood effects or writing on walls.

Are you stupid? He has a 7950GX2 and a Core 2 Duo x6800.

@ Ku-sama, I still say try reinstalling steam, that always works for me.
