I've got a set of 5.1 speakers with sub, since I dont' have a receiver to use them as a home theatre set, is there a way to convert them into pc speakers? I know I need a 5.1 sound card first. thanks and later.
yeah pretty much you just plug them into the corresponding slot on the card
there will be a cable coming out from the sub, its should be a red and white, get a converter to convert them into jack plugs then plug itr into your soundccard and your away.
I doubt that would work, he needs an amp in there.
Even if the sub still had the amps, and you plugged the sub into your sound card, it wouldn't work completely. It wouldn't play in a 5.1 surround sound setup, most likely it would play in a 2.1 setup. You need 3 jacks for a 5.1 setup off of a soundcard.the majority of surround sound speakers come with amps in the subwoofer, which is what i was saying, if they dont then how do you do it in a home cinima, my friend hasn't got an amp and he has surround sound
do you need an amp for just home theatre speakers or would the ones im getting just plug into the woofer and into the sound card
