This would be my first build an I was wondering where to build it (location)
On a wooden desk, on a stone desk, on cement floor, on my bed :D, on hardwood floors, or (I doubt this one) on my carpet floor
Suggest something other than this too if theres better, TY!

if you have cement or hardwood floor, that would be ideal because of less static

desks are fine

if you are really worried stand on cardboard on cement floor

i built mine in my basement on a table

i wouldnt go with anything like a bed or carpet, the static is amazing in that kind of material, concrete is best, or wood...not plastic...

For the most part as long as you either ground yourself to the case or use an anti-static wristband anywhere is ok. But concrete or would is ideal. I build my comps in our dining room or a table in the kitchen, over tile. Used to use a wristband but those things are annoying.

I always build mine on my floor(carpet) I've yet to have a problem due to that. As for the wristband comment, I have NEVER used one of those. If you constantly ground yourself before handling the stuff, you should be just fine.

I built mine on my desk and was standing on the carpet and everything seems to be ok. And i really didnt touch any metal on the case while doing so but you probably should so you dont ruin anything.

can someone explain to me what "grounding" is
i hear it a lot and dont know why you need to do it

also can you say how you ground yourself

Grounding is when you touch something that discharges the static from you so you dont transtfer it to the object that is sensitive to static.

How you ground yourself is by touching something metal in your case like your powersupply and that will staticly discharge you and you wont have any static problems.
