good setup

what would you guys say a good setup 4 mild gaming, and internet be? i want something that will fly on the internet, i was gonna get 512mb ram 4 my 240, and a 2.2ghz cpu, i should be winning this stick of 256 off ebay, we'll see...

im starting 2 save my money up, i got $75 now, i might buy a new computer, or possible built my own fast internet rig lol.
 
mine works great for just that take a look at my signature, although i might recommend an athalon processor instead of a sempron.
 
i dont mind about the processor, 1.8 amd is faster than a 1.8 p4, right? like the 1 i current got in my 240...

would you think it would fly with 1GB ram? in my 240?

I would take a 1.8 P4 over a 1.8 AMD for internet use. Gaming is another story.
 
ok, well would you think it would be a waste of money 2 upgrade 2 a 2.2ghz cpu? it's +400mhz...

and 1gb ram? would that be a good setup?

Yes, that would be ok for you. But, your video card might hold you back a bit. Also, JP why don't you just save up a few hundred or sell a couple of your computers and build a new one.

only gonna use the computer 4 slight games, and internet, my computer max. should fly...

i might get a 256mb card, not sure yet...
 
a boost from a 128mb card, 2 a 256mb card isnt gonna make a difference?

2.2GHZ, 1GB RAM isnt a decent setup?

An upgrade from say a 6600GT 128MB to a 6600GT 256MB would not be as big of an upgrade as a 6600GT 256MB to a 6800GT 128MB or 256MB. This is only true if you have a decent amount of RAM, if you are struggling with RAM more video RAM might be better.

2.2ghz and 1GB of RAM is ok, but what type of processor and what type of GPU?
