Wireless Router + Sleep

i dont see why it would be a problem to have it in the same room its not putting out any harmful radiation or anything that will cause you a problem.

Some people claim that high frequency objects create cancer. I personally reduce output power on my wireless router to 50% just to be safe.

Seriously people, chill out.

Even if over a long period of time there were detrimental health effects, it would take so long that you would be dead by the time anything remotely bad happened.

My Godfather died at the age of 60 due to extended cell phone use(Brain tumour). Bear in mind that cell phones were not invented until recently.

Ya but when they first came out they put out a lot more harmful rays. And to be honest I doubt extended cell phone use was the only reason.

No, it's not safe, the government hacks your brain and brainwashes you to go kill people if you do, I know, they've made me kill 32 people, I'm wanted in 13 states... jk, that'd be wierd.

Harmful rays? cell phones work basically the exact same way as they did when they were invented.

not striclty true, whilst i sympathise with what happened, cell phones have changed considerably in their technology since inception, one of the biggest being going to 2nd generation digital phones from analogue and now onto 3rd generation video phones.

Each phone has to pass a test now for its SAR rating and must be under a specific amount, this is just a precaution however as there is no conclusive evidence of their effects....the jury is still out....

but this is rather off topic at the moment :)

Ya, I mean I dont believe phones/bluetooth/wireless rays cause cancer...but I do believe its not to good either if your exposed to it for extended periods of time. I just rather be safe then sorry...so I dont use my bluetooth headset too often and the same thing with my cell phone.
