DDR2 RAM Dual Channel?

Hello, well since 512MB is not enought I ordered another 512MB of the same ram to help me out. Kingston 512MB 667Mhz
Well my question is. When my memory arrives do I just plug it (into the same color port as the previouse RAM) and thats it? Do I need to change anything in BIOS? And if I do need to change something, what would it be and what will I need to change it to.

If you already have your first 512mb dimm in the #1 or #A slot(usually blue in color) according to the board's manual then you simply insert the second(new) into the secondary(blue #2 or #B) dimm slot. The bios will automatically total the additional memory.

Nope, it works automaticly. You just stick it in the same color slot as your old memory and boot it up, the bios takes care of the rest for you.

Not entirely. BF2 loves ram, when you play it, it takes up a lot of ram; almost all of my 1gb. I am sure that ram would be most helpful in increasing performance in this guy's ccomputer.

Well in most games thats true but not in Battlefield 2 cause it likes to use alot of ram i use over 1 GB in that game sometimes. And FEAR is the same way i can be using up to 80% of my ram in FEAR and i have 2GB.
 
Still depends alot on your video card, you can have a 9600 and add all the ram you want and you still have crap

Well I'm glad I went with an MSI Radeon X1300 Pro and 2gb of Kingston Value Ram then to run the Steam/Source engine with everything set high. :D Increasing ram from 1gb of Corsair xms series dimms(pair of 512s) to the current pair of 1gb dimms(still DDR400) has seen a boost along with now running those on a new board.
