dont know if this is the right thread or not. but anyways, what exactly is an ISO file. can i just burn an ISO file to a cd, and when i put it in a computer, it will read it like its the original program disc? never used ISO before. anyone help me out?

An ISO is a cd image. If you use a program besides windows built in burner, you can burn and iso and it will read like the original disk. You can also get a program called Alcohol 120% or Daemon tools and mount a cd image on a virtual drive.

An ISO file is a sortof zipped-up file. When you burn it to the CD, it extracts itself into normal files and folders. However, you need a special program to burn it. Nero is my favorite, but free ISO burners can probably be found online. (hint: google)
