Intel GMA X3000

It looks like intel has come out with a new integrated graphics chip for vista. It is running at 667mhz and can use up to 384mb of memory.(or something like that) I cant wait for som more benchmarks to compare it to dedicated graphics cards. And it should be able to switch to DX10 without any probles
Newegg has 1 mobo that has it and it isnt in stock yet.

Hai, thanks for the heads up. This is the first I've heard of it. Should be interesting. I wonder if the primary goal is laptops?

That reminds me. They also are coming out with a portable version running at 400mhz that uses less energy and makes less heat.

It's not going to be better then any of the X1K or 7xxx lines if thats what your thinking. You may be ably to play CS 1.6 on high settings though.

And if it's coming out very soon, then I doubt it will be DX10 capable.

I wasnt hoping for any super graphic, but it looks a lot better than the gma900/950, and intel says it will have programmable EU's so the version of direct x it the software/OS uses is also the version it uses.
