looking for a laptop...

im looking for a nice gaming latop...as i have never had a laptop before i dont know anything about their grpahics cards...can someone please help me find a good on for about 1500$ or 1000£ ish. i want the max for my money as i dont want to have to upgrade again in one year... im not fussy about the brand, but 2gb of memory would be nice...

Your location please?

I suggest IBM Thinkpad T60. I have been using the T60 for games and all my assignments. I also have a T30, R52 and a X60. All are not good for gaming but the T60 is unique and special. I love thinkpads!!! Thinkpads are a bit expensive but they are very durable and they can last for very long provided you must not abuse it. :)

What does your T60 have in it video and CPU wise?
 
I have used the T60 for quite sometime and it is good for gaming purposes. I am a heavy gamer and i like a good steady workhorse and after a little messing with a dedicated community specially for thinkpads, i finally decided to get a T60. Many people comment on the T60 and majority said the T60 is very good for gamers.

Oh and [-0MEGA-] I think the t60 has an ati Mobility Fire GL 5200(256MB) graphics card but I can be totaly wrong. And they type of processor I think is an intel dual core 2GHz but I can be totaly wrong and don't take my word for it but I think I am right.

But to really find out, go to www.lenovo.com and then select your country and then select the T60 which I think would be in the notebook section and you will find more info.

or buy a gateway or HP. they are really nice systems. thats all i use and i love them! i play may be 1 or 2 games hear and there and they play fine.
