CD Reader/Burner

I have a cd burner that will read a disc, if I push the laser back towards the middle it will not go back on it's own, anyone know a solution?

try using some grease on it. If that doesn't work the motor is pooched.

Try to clear up your sentence just a bit.

So your drive reads your disc's... but the laser doesn't come back into the middle when you take out the disc? I have no idea what you really mean there.

i seriously thik you need a new CD drive, things like this dont get fixed, and at the current price on how cheap things like this are, its not worth the hassle, jsut buy a new one mate

Sounds like either the motor is burnt out, or depending on the model one of the little gears broke or one of the rubberbands broke that helps run it.
