Ati Radeon 9600 Question

Hey all,

I just got me a Ati Radeon 9600 series 256Mb

Does anyone know if it will play Battlefield 2 with good graphics or will my 512Mb of memory slow the game down?

Is that because of me only having 512 Mb or do you mean that graphics card?

both. It's good you're going with the 1GB, when I run most wanted, I almost max out 1GB, so I'd suspect BF2 would need about the same. The graphics card will work, my friend has a 9600 Pro that can run it pretty well, but not tops.

Ive just played the demo of Need for speed underground and it plays awesome

i have a ati 9600 pro, it runs most direct x 9c games fine, maybe not max, but most at 1280x1024 with minimal graphics settings, or 1024x768 with max settings.

i had that card with 1 gb of ram...would only run BF2 on medium/high not maxed that was with a p4 2.5Ghz processor tho
