Make sure your RAM is in teh right slots, your card is in the slot all the way (and any external power supplies to it are connected), you have your ATX 12v 4-Pin plug in teh mobo near your CPU, etc.

HOLY MOTHER!

i put the ram sticks in the slot furthest away from the CPU!

is there any other possibilities guys?

thanks for the help guys, this is a very helpful forum

Make sure you have everything connected fully, your RAM is in all the way (so you can have the little arms holding it down), otherwise, it should work, unless you have a bad stick of RAM, if it doesnt work again, try taking the one furthest from the CPU out, and try with only one stick. If it doesnt work again, try again with the other stick.

Try removing the battery from the CMOS jumper (look in your manual) for a few minutes, put it back in, and try booting again. It was most likely caused by trying to boot with the RAM in teh wrong place too many times, the BOIS is mad. Try that and post back in a bit.

hey, can u tell me what cmos jumper is?

It will mention it in your manual for your mobo (hopefully), it is the battery that powers your BIOS. Take it out for a few mins and put it back in (this will clear the CMOS memory) and your CMOS will be happy again and you will probably be able to boot.

Switch the CMOS jumper to the way your manual tells you to to clear your CMOS. It should just be three pins, with the jumper on two- [III] it is prob set up as maybe [TTI] and will have to be switched to [ITT] I= pin, T=jumper attached
