Ok so I thought it was my HDD and / or ram so I sent it back got new ones

So i got it back a week later ran great I had my computer running all night I go to do something in the morning like run a video game and It crashes.. I start up my computer it crashes

I think my Chip is running way to hot I have no idea why I looked at it the other day and it seemed ok

my computer is overheating?? or my chip is overheating ? and could my ram and hdd be ruined now that my computer overheated? (IM guessing it overheated)

speed fan check im not a whiz on to check on this I have like 7 fans in my computer they are all running I dont know why it says 1 is running out of 3...

but I noticed one of themperatures says 50C and going up? i dont know what it could be though

Also I noticed that temp 2 fluxates from 46-50 really fast

but what is temp 1 and temp 2 and temp 3 in my computer?

It probably isn't reading other fan speeds couse they are not connected to the mobo, instead they are connected directly to PSU.

Those temperatures are nothing to worry about, I'm guessing Temp1 is for CPU, Temp2 for chipset and Temp3 for GFX.

Can you please make a list of your PC parts, CPU, mobo and RAM (RAM as detailed as possible).

Well, that's strange, ok so you said you were trying to run a game and it crashed, what PSU you have? Ampers on 12v rail/s and wattage?

Seems we'll have to use the elimination process by testing every component, I would try running a memtest first, to see if your RAM sticks are faulty. Then I would run some Prime95 to check your CPU.

I always run my game after I got my new parts (my hardrive and ram because this happend before and i thought they were faulty)

and it was fine and I left my computer on and i tryed playing the game again and it crashed and would constantly crash every time I would turn my computer on.. The day after letting it sit off.. Its fine.. Im on it now..

And as for a memtest I tryed doing it but I dont have a floppy disk to do it

EDIT::

Sorry my Power supply is the stock powersupply that came with my box i think its 400 or 450 watts?

Ive had the computer fore about 1 or 2 years it never did this up until the middle of july

Well

I think your problem could be your PSU. Your 12V readings, if true are quite bad. You should be looking at a stable 12V reading +- 5%. Your 3V reading is also not good. Your system may be ahaving problems due to bad PSU.

Damn and I just orderd a new cheap mother board and a new CPU because I couldnt take it anymore...

I orderd a mobo with AGP and PCI slots and a AMD 4000+ with 1mb cache

I got it cancelled..... but im going to buy a new heatsink and fan anyways..

Ouch

That's extremely low for a system that you wish to power up with it. Aim for 30A and over.

Yes, and power consumpsion grows when your CPU and GPU start to work at 100%, PSU is too weak so it can't provide that much power to your components.

Peace out now, I'm off to get wasted.

Apeivia doesn't make very good psu's. And you would probably be better off with dual 12v rails with around 18amps each. Like this one. Its a little more expensive but the psu is one of the things you can not afford to go cheap on.

yeah I got the Zalesmen heatsink and fan thing is f'n huge computer is runnin alot cooler I put more thermal paste too which helps too and I notice its running smoother too:cool:
