E6400 vCore and Multi issues !

Hey there...

I posted yesterday about a BIOS issue. I have solved that one, on to the next. As they are not related I opened another thread, hope it's OK.

In BIOS my Multi is x8 and the FSB is at 266, vCore is at 1.30 This all seems normal for stock. When I open CPU'z it says the vCore is at something crazy like 2.5 and the multi switches back and forth between 6 and 8.

Speedfan (though not known for it's universal accuracy) says Core A is at 2.5 and that Core B is at 3.0 !!!!

What in the heck!?1?!?!

Any throttling apps (Cool n' Quiet) have been disabled. And I manually set the vCore in the BIOS at 1.3, FSB at 266. and multi x8.

Does anyone have any idea WTF is going on? I would like to move on to Overclocking, but not until the stock settings all jive and are where they are supposed to.

Thanks for your time and input.

My CPUz switched my E6300 for x6 to x7 all the time, until I updated it to version 1.36. Download that, it provides better support fot P965 chipsets...
