Transfering files from one PC to another

I'm wanting to transfer a single file (1.7gb) to another computer. I would write it to CD but the size is way too large to do this.

I already have a wireless network setup and was wondering how would I go about sending the file from my PC to another PC on the network

not overly sure as the best route with a wireles, think you can just set up shared folders so that your 2nd system can see the appropriate file.

When moving around larger files myself i use winrar to compact them and use the option to split the files so they fit on a cd. The end result in your case would be files that would fit over 3 cd's, copy all those files to one diretory, right click on one of the files an extract and it will piece it all back together for you :)
