Good Gaming Memory?

how good of memory should i use to run a game PC6400 or PC8000, it looks like PC6400 (800 mghz) is alot cheaper, is there really that much of a difference though?

Not really, most motherboards use PC6400 (DDR2 800) ram. Anything higher would just downclock itself to PC6400 speed. The only advantage you'll get is when you start to OC.

a LOT of motherboards don't let you do this.
ddr2 800 should be plenty though... as a matter of fact memory speed doesnt effect gaming a whole lot (normally not even 5fps) as long as its not bottlenecking the cpu

not only this, but a lot of ddr2 800 ram will overclock to ddr2 1000 anyways... so theres no point in spending the money on the memory thats certified at ddr2 1000
