Sli 7600GS

Does anyone know the performance for a SLI 7600GS Nvidia? What would it be compared to? Because I want to do a budget SLI but good performance.

Would SLI 7600GS be good compared to a ATI X850XT???

I can't make the decision.

Well im looking to spend atleast 200, what exactly does the Memory Interface do? Many of the Nividia's have 128-bit O_o Compared to Radeon's 256-bit

Well, doesnt the x850xt have better memory interface, pixelpipelines, core clock, memory clock? than 7600 gts gs etc etc?

i believe it doesn't have pixel shader 3.0 though. Its a very good card and so is the 7600GT.

the x850XT is ATI's high end graphic card before the 7 series and x1k series came out.

Avoid the GTS (It's more 'S' than 'T'), the real 7600GT is better value than either eVGA model.

At $96 after MIR, the X850XT is an attractive alternative though.

The GTS is more S than T, are you sure ????

The GT at stock speed is 560/1400
The GS at stock speed is 400/800

The GTS card that i posted is 560/1400

So, now what do you think ? is it more S or T ?

Also the GTS card that i posted is very cheap, it cost just $112.99 after $15.00 Mail-In Rebate.

There's not much info about these cards available at the moment, but from what I can tell these cards find their origin in the 7600GS (a supposition which is supported by the lack of Dual DVI). That would mean they're basically an overclocked GS with GDDR3. There have been many variations on this theme over the months (manufacturers get stock GS cores cheaper than stock GT cores, so are willing to experiment), few of which have been sucessful (remember the GST), although this does look like one of the better ones. Assuming this is a OC'd GS core, the overclocking potential would be limited. It is interesting to note that eVGA don't even promote the card on their site. Between the lack of independant reviews for the card, lack of hardware SLI support and lack of dual DVI, i'd favour the proper 7600GT.

It's only $1.50 dearer (and includes a factory OC).

I recommend to get this 7900GT which has higher clock and memory speed that the one you posted

Both cards should OC to about the same point, but it's not a bad deal at all.

i don't think this 7900GT will beat the 7900GS that "Alimoose" posted. The 7900GT may have more pixel pipelines, but it has slower clock and memory speed.
The 7900GT is the better card. Let me stress again that the extra 50Mhz is just a factory overclock, not a better chip.

The 7900GS is one of the best GS versions nVidia has produced, and performance is very close to a 7900GT. At a slightly lower price, it would be a killer card, and it certainly can be found for less than newegg prices:

single card configurations give higher performance for your money
a single card uses less power as well... the main advantage of SLI and/or Crossfire is that you can put two of the company's best cards in a rig and have better performance that way. other than that though... SLI's not that great.
the 7900gs only has 20 pixel pipelines... so its like the 7800gt only overclocked...
